About my first job and labour perspectives

Hi everyone!

Today i wanna talk about a topic that is very closer to me right know, and its about the first job as a professional and the expectations or perespectives that i have about this, based in my previous labour experiences and a lot of conversations about experiences of friends, teachers and other people.

Maybe this last year until now i have my first experience as a "sociologist", working in the design of a research and survey about the mental health problem in the Universidad de Chile. The goal of the survey its gather the most possible information about the situation of students, and with that design a future mental health policy for the university.

I think that with that work i made a little practice before my curricular practice. And i really like it, i think i learn a lot and it was a lot different of any evaluation in the university.

It was a lot of indoor work, personally i dont have preferences, i think that i lime outdoors obviously but i think its hard to combine with my career. I would lime to work in other countries a couple of years, i considerer that an other way to see outdoor work. I think for the charactheristic of my career, i cant evite co ⁰ indoor work, but i have no trouble with that.

I would love to travel, for study o for whatever that can make that possibly with my career so its really a goal.

In this quarantine i have prove myself that i can be inside without any problem, and i realize too that certanly a lot of sociology works can be make from home. But personally i like to go out and mantain the job outside of my free time.

I want to have differenced experiencies in research, public policy, and teaching.

About the salary perspective its difficult talk about numbers, the average or salary of sociologist of my university, full time hang its about $900.000. I think that with that salary i can live really good, im not searching for a lot of money, but i want to live with dignity too, hopefully doing things that help others or contribute to create a better and more justice  society. Knowing always that we are not heroes, but we can contribuite a piece from ur labour area.
